I was born and have lived all my days, in the North East of Scotland, in an area known as Buchan. This lies inland of Peterhead and Fraserburgh. I have been involved in agriculture one way or another all my life. Iam married to Dawn and we have 3 grown up children. I enjoy most sports, including rugby, football and cricket. I have a particular insight into the background of whisky, with regard to the growing of barley. This includes what makes good malt barley and what is expected by the distillers.
