Andrea Middleton

Languages:

My name is Andrea Middleton.
I am Edinburgh based guide. I have been sharing my passion for Scotland with visitors since 1994 and have been a qualified Blue Badge Tourist Guide for Scotland since 2000. I love my job.
I have an interest, not only in history and storytelling, but also in film and TV locations. I have even been an extra in Outlander! and may give you a few insider views of life in front of the camera.
I work with all age groups, big kids and little ones.
Whether you want to explore the highland glens; walk around Edinburgh; hike in the Highland mountains, or have a special interest trip, let me show you the magic that is Scotland.

I am comfortable doing:
- Coach trips
- Walking Tours
- Driver/Guide (hirer)
I am also qualified in emergency first aid – so you know you
are in safe hands.

Before I became a tourist guide I had been at University of Sheffield. Msc in Human Nutrition. After trying to get a job in that field I fell into tour guiding to help pay bills. This is when I realised how much I loved doing this and didn't look back. After a few years learning my trade, I decided to make a career of it and qualified as a Blue Badge guide in 2000. I have never looked back.
