Languages:

Clive Horton is a qualified Scottish Tourist Guides Association Green Badge guide as well as a Highland Park Distillery accredited guide.

Born in the heart of England his early working life took him worldwide as a navigation officer with Shell Tankers and then the Danish company Maersk Line. Having met and married his wife Rosemary in the early 1980′s he came ashore and became a teacher in Cornwall. From there promotion took him northwards to Lincolnshire and then in 2000 he achieved one of his life’s ambitions of living and working on a small island when he became Head Teacher of Shapinsay Community School in Orkney. After retirement from teaching in 2011 he moved to Mainland Orkney and now runs Wildabout Orkney in Sandwick with Rosemary.
