I am a native of Shetland, originally from Trondra, one of Shetland's small Islands where I was brought up on the family croft (the local name for a small farm). My husband and I now live in Lerwick which is Shetland's main town. I think Shetland is a very special place to live. I love to meet people and never tire of showing them around our beautiful Islands. My interests are many and varied, Literature (I retired as manager of the Shetland Tmes Bookshop in 2009), Shetland history and dialect Shetland today, folklore, knitting, food and Up Helly Aa our fire festival.
