Hello! My name is Heather McWalter, born and bred in Scotland, I now live in the beautiful borders town of Peebles. I started guiding in Scotland four years ago, but my story of working in tourism began much earlier than that. Fourteen years ago I became a guide for an adventure holiday travel company, I admit because I wanted to travel the world. I was very fortunate to work in over 20 countries ranging from the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Caribbean. Eventually I wondered why I was showing off other peoples countries when I lived in Scotland, perhaps one of the most amazing in the world. I returned and have never regretted it since. My personal interests are running, mountains, ancient sites, and Whisky.
