James (Jim) Gray

Languages:

I am a born and bred Shetlander from the West of the Shetland mainland. Much of my career has been spent working for the Local Authority in a range of disciplines and I'm now retired. I now spend my much of my time working on my crofts where we keep native Shetland sheep and grow food for the table and winter feed for the sheep. Being a tourist guide is a great way to use my talents and interests which include local history, culture, archaeology and nature. I have been lucky to have the opportunity to travel all over the world and am fascinated by new places and people. I really enjoy meeting new people and sharing my passion for Shetland.
