About Me

Born and bred in Scotland I am passionate about all my country has to offer. I have guiding experience that stretches back over 10 years and enjoy sharing the sights and stories of Scotland, with all types of visitor, for a wide variety of experiences.

Scotland has some wonderful cities which have much to offer the visitor. I particularly enjoy guiding on city walks, that allow visitors the time to absorb the buildings and the history, alongside contemporary Scottish culture.

I have a military background and a favourite place is Edinburgh Castle. Here I had the privilege to fire a Royal Salute and participate in the World-Famous Edinburgh Tattoo.

With over 30-years commissioned experience in the British Army I have a professional soldiers’ understanding of the conflicts that have shaped Scotland. Whether you want to walk in the footsteps of Wallace and Bruce or experience the history that is the inspiration for Outlander, it would be my pleasure to guide you.

My experience has demanded finely honed organisational and communication skills along with the ability to adapt to all circumstances. So, whatever experience you seek; from Outlander to Oatcakes or Bannockburn to “the Barley-bree”, I’d love to share my passion for Scotland with you.
