Stephen Cribb

Languages:

Stephen has been sharing the delights of Scottish life and landscape with visitors from home and overseas, for over thirty years, both as an accompanying guide or a driver-guide in a range of prestige vehicles.

He began his guiding in 1980s whilst working as a professional geologist, leading field trips and study tours to some of the most wild and beautiful places in the British Isles particularly the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. He is a Blue Badge member of the Scottish Tourist Guides Association.

Over the last twenty years his knowledge and understanding of the history and culture of all things Scottish have entranced and entertained locals and visitors alike. He is academically and professionally qualified as a Genealogist and bespoke family history and ancestral tours, for groups or individuals, are a specialism.

Having provided a consultancy for the distilling industry, looking at their water sources, his knowledge of whisky is second to none. This was recognised recently by his investiture as a Keeper of the Quaich

  • Tours

I provide a whole range of guiding and tour management services, in fact everything from escorting large coach parties right down to individuals and couples. These tours can be as short as half a day and up to a regional tour extending over many days.
I am also a driver guide and can provide a series of bespoke vehicles depending upon a group size up to a maximum of eight (though seven would be more comfortable).
Walking tours in our major towns and cities are no problem and low level walking in the countryside is a further offering.
Tours may be along lines specified by the clients or just as easily bespoke journeys created by me to suit the specific needs of the visitor.
