Hello, I’m Alistair, and I love sharing my beautiful homeland with visitors. As an enthusiast for all things Scottish I am deeply rooted in Scotland and open to the world.

Edinburgh is my home - I specialise in city tours of Scotland's capital, the East Coast and the Scottish Borders. I am equally at home guiding in other parts of the Scottish mainland - Stirling and the Trossachs, Glasgow, the West Coast and the Highlands and Inner Hebrides.

My services include guided walks, step-on coach tours, extended tours, and driver-guide services, as well as itinerary planning, incentive tours and special needs groups.

I was born and educated in Scotland and have lived here most of my life; I have also lived, studied and travelled extensively abroad. I trained as a Blue Badge Tourist Guide after a career in school teaching and 16 years as Head of a prestigious and historic Edinburgh school.

I am an accredited member of the Scottish Tourist Guides Association, qualified to guide in English and German.

Ich bin gebürtiger Schotte und zugleich großer Deutschenfreund.

Ich bin seit 5 Jahren akkreditierter Guide bei der Scottish Tourist Guides Association.

Ich bin in Edinburgh zu Hause und spezialisiere mich auf Stadtrundgänge und -fahrten in der schottischen Hauptstadt sowie Touren an der Ostküste und in den an England grenzenden ‘Borders’. Ich mache aber genauso gern Führungen in Stirling und Glasgow, in den Highlands und an der Westküste.

Nach dem Germanistikstudium in Schottland arbeitete ich zwei Jahre lang als Lektor für Englisch in Deutschland, bevor ich im Heimatland das Lehramt einschlug. Meine Karriere schloß ich mit 16 Jahren Dienst als Schulleiter in Edinburgh ab, woraufhin ich die Ausbildung als Fremdenführer unternahm.

Ob zu Fuß, mit dem Reisebus, oder mit dem Wagen, auf englisch bzw deutsch, würde ich mich freuen, Sie bei Ihrem Besuch in diesem wunderschönen Land führen zu dürfen.
