Hello, my name is Andrea Middleton.
I am one of the lucky people who actually love what they do for a living and I believe this shows through in my tourist guiding. Since I qualified in 2000 I have been all over the country on various different travelling methods: coach tours, walking tours, driver/guided tours and cruises; so I would say I am versatile and happy to fit in with your tour.
My interests include history, storytelling and film and TV locations. I conduct my own Outlander Tours and in the past have taken many a Harry Potter fan around to locations used for filming. You can even say you have toured with someone who has been an extra in Outlander! and I may give you a few insider views of life behind of the camera!
I do not believe that learning about a place means a dull lecture. I use a mixture of storytelling and factual history to make the place come alive. Luckily Scotland has had a colourful past so the history is packed full of battles, murders and upheavals.
On a personal note I very much believe in eco tourism and my private tours are as sustainable as I can make them. Every direct booking results in a donation to Trees for Life. I strive to immerse you in local culture, produce and accommodation, as I believe this assists in allowing visitors to see the real Scotland.
