Hello,and welcome my profile.


My name is Andrew born and bred Aberdonian.


Let me take you around the wonderful city of Granite the silver city by the sea.


We will learn about the Granite industry, fishing, shipbuilding Envolopes ,soap,the local bread called butteries.


We will visit the old town home to Aberdeen university and St Machars cathedral while we are there I will explain about history and the Scottish reformation.


In the city centre we will visit the Marischal College building a wonderful gothic building.

The new union terrace gardens a project that cost £33million to improve the old victorian gardens.


On our tour we will travel along the west end with fantastic 19c homes.


The green badge covers a large geographical area ,north Aberdeenshire, speyside the whisky distilleries are here ,Glenfiddich, Glenlivit, and many many more .

We travel down the east coast we arrive at the historic Dunnottar castle, the honers of scotland were hidden here ,Mary Queen of Scots William Wallace all visited the castle.


We keep travelling down the coast, visiting Montrose Arbroath, we try the local Fish dish Arbroath smokies, smoked Haddock delicious. In Arbroath we visit the Abbey a very important Abbey in Scottish history and independence.


We drive by Carnoustie today its famous for golf but it was a very important cloth manufacturer in the 19c.


We arrive in Dundee ,Scotland’s 4th city.

We talk about the 3 js,jute jam and journalism, the comic books ,and why Dundee today is very important for computer games.


We cross the River Tay scotlands longest, and we arrive in St.Andrews today a golf mecca for golfers,but in the past it was the home of the church in Scotland with the largest cathedral ever built in the country. We will learn why it's a ruin today ,St.Andrews is also home to the country's oldest university and we learn about that too along with the castle/Bishop's palace.


My other role is being a tour director or group leader for the whole of Scotland ,this is something I really enjoy looking after the group making sure your holiday goes smoothly .
