About Me

I was born in Scotland, have lived here my whole life and spent my entire career in incoming tourism. Starting out as a guide in a Scotch Whisky Museum, I then worked in destination management and successfully organised incentive and conference groups from abroad for many years, including running my own business in this field for over 20 years. I qualified as a Blue Badge guide in 2018; I consider myself a proud ambassador for Scotland and it is a most rewarding career to share my beautiful country and home city, Edinburgh, with visitors. I especially enjoy the interaction with clients and it is a matter of personal pride that I play a part in ensuring they have the best possible experience during their stay. Guiding is about much more than imparting historical facts, it is also about making guests feel comfortable, quickly understanding what is most important for them during their visit and ensuring those needs are met. My years working in Scottish tourism have given me a thorough and up to date knowledge of hotels, restaurants, attractions and many hidden gems which can make a trip particularly memorable.

I consistently receive very positive feedback from clients which I would be happy to share on request.
