About Me

Welcome!

You will always be in good hands when you choose from this list of Qualified Blue Badge Guides. We may come from many diverse professions, but we are all united in our knowledge, dedication and passion.

My own background is in teaching, educational journalism and broadcasting, and performing. I have a particular interest in Scottish literature and was lucky enough to know many of our major 20th century writers through my former work.

Now, I enjoy meeting visitors from all over the world. I feel a special connection with our extensive Scottish diaspora, having been partially brought up in Canada as a 'Forces Brat'!

I like to interpret both the built and natural landscapes of town and country in our incredibly diverse land through the filters of history, music, geography, story, song and literature.

Whether you wish to take part in a city walk or an extended tour of the country, or even a virtual tour of a site from the comfort of home, I'd be pleased to be your guide.
