My roots in Inverness run deep, having been born near the storied Battle of Culloden on our family's farm. Surrounded by such rich history from an early age, I developed a profound appreciation for the heritage and culture of the Scottish Highlands. This upbringing laid the foundation for my future career as a guide.
Throughout my years working in community and adult education, I honed my skills by leading groups on trips and walks around the Highland region. As a lecturer, I covered Scotland and its islands, managing students for various private, national, and international businesses. Having diverse experiences provided me with invaluable insights into Scotland's landscapes, history, and communities.
Nowadays, as a Scottish Tourist Guide Association Green Badge Holder, I'm proud to showcase my beloved city of Inverness to visitors. Whether on foot as a walking guide or behind the wheel as a driver guide, I can offer personalized experiences tailored to each group's interests and preferences.
Invergodon, a bustling cruise port just 25 miles from Inverness, sees a multitude of liners docking each year, drawing travellers from all corners of the globe. I have welcomed passengers from diverse backgrounds and guided them through the scenic wonders of the North of Scotland, enriching their journeys with my local knowledge, language and Highland background.
With me as your guide, whether exploring the ancient ruins of Culloden, wandering the enchanting streets of Inverness, or marvelling at the rugged beauty of the Scottish Highlands, you're sure to create lasting memories of Scotland's captivating landscapes and vibrant history.
