Hello my name is Elizabeth McKenzie. Born and educated in Glasgow, I have more than 35 years experience in Education to both adults and children which includes teaching English as a second language in Italy, Glasgow, Edinburgh, the Scottish Borders and Stornoway.
I qualified as an STGA Blue Badge Guide at Edinburgh University in 1990 and was an Edinburgh based Guide for 17 years until I relocated to the beautiful Isle of Lewis on the Outer Hebrides! I am fortunate to be able to guide on the Outer Hebrides and mainland Scotland.
I am passionate about Scottish history, gaelic culture, Harris Tweed and ancestry research. I have been extremely fortunate in my teaching and guiding to have met various nationalities from all over the world. It would be a privilege to be your guide and I look forward to welcoming you to Scotland.
