Welcome to Scotland! I am from Italy and I have been living in this beautiful country for over twelve years. I moved to Scotland after having achieved a degree in History of Art in Rome as I was offered a Ph.D. position at Glasgow University. Being also an accredited tourist guide in Rome I have soon decided to become a tourist guide in Scotland as well. I love my job because it gives me the opportunity to transfer my passion for this country while, at the same time, being involved in a constant learning process. I am energetic and enthusiastic, I like meeting new people but, most importantly, I love what I do! I have a thorough knowledge of art and its history and a great passion for the art market. My experience of working within museums, exhibitions, and auction houses has usefully expanded my professional skills base. My strong interests are Fine Arts and Architecture, Design, Monastic Architecture, Industrial Heritage, Cinema, Ballet, Opera, fashion, and luxury brands. Also, being currently staff at Glasgow School of Art, I am very keen on providing tours focused on Charles Rennie Mackintosh from being a student in Glasgow to a world-renowned architect; In fact “the European counterpart to Frank Loyd Wright” as Nikolaus Pevsner described him! Whether you want to explore the Baronial style or admire the new V&A Museum in Dundee designed by Kengo Kuma, I will be happy to tailor a tour that suits your needs as well as interests!
