About Me

'Foos yer doos' and Fàilte!

Hello - I am Fiona - thanks for visiting my page.

Scotland has been voted one of the most beautiful places in the world, but it is so much more. A vibrant, modern country with wonderful people, unique culture, fascinating traditions and a rich history, you will find that visiting Scotland is an unforgettable experience.

I am a native Scot with a real pride in my heritage and in this wonderful country. Born and brought up in Edinburgh, I guide in English (with a few Scots words thrown in) and my light accent makes me very easy to understand. I have been lucky enough to meet and guide people from many countries and with many interests. I have a comprehensive knowledge of all things Scottish and I love to share Scotland in an entertaining way with enthusiasm, humour and passion. I am committed to giving my guests a truly magical experience and, apart from showing them the wonders of this spectacular land, I also make them feel welcome and cared for. I have been complimented on my ability to share information and my story-telling skills, as I have an eye for detail and a flexibility to tailor the tour for specific groups of guests.

“ Back…after our most memorable trip to beautiful Scotland. You certainly were the best guide anyone could ask for, providing us with so much history and background with your extensive knowledge. We couldn't have been more pleased! You made it seem effortless and you were willing to be sure that we did everything we wanted.”
The Williams, Massachusetts, US.

“I wanted to tell you that the trip was very good indeed, and everyone seemed to enjoy it very much. Fiona was an excellent guide - very knowledgeable and well organized. I would recommend her for any future trip you might do to Scotland.”
Dr. Wade, North Carolina, US.

“You are amazing! Such a wealth of information and such a joy to be with. Thanks so much.”
The McGills, Texas, US.

“Thanks so much for a fabulous tour. You’re a top-notch guide; the way you combine your in-depth knowledge with a lovely sense of humour is truly impressive.”
C. Unwin, Stortinget (Norwegian Parliament)
