About Me

I'm a native of the Shetland Isles and have lived and worked here all my life. Much of my career was spent working for the Local Authority in a range of disciplines and I'm now retired. I now spend much of my time working on the crofts I was brought up on where we keep and breed native Shetland sheep. We also grow food for the table and winter feed for our sheep, working the land in a traditional manner. Being a tourist guide is a great way to use my talents and interests which include local history, culture, archaeology and nature. I've been lucky to have the opportunity to travel all over the world and am fascinated by new places and people. I really enjoy meeting new people and sharing my passion for Shetland.
