About Me

Hello, my name is Jill McKean and I come from the small town of Peebles in the beautiful Scottish Borders. After graduating with a degree in French and a further post-graduate qualification in Tourism I have worked in the Scottish tourism industry for many years, and qualified as a Blue Badge guide in 2016.

I'm really interested in Scottish history and for me, nothing beats a wander around a ruined castle or an old church! I enjoy taking visitors around our excellent museums and galleries, and am particularly keen on art and textiles. .

Scotland has so much to offer, from spectacular scenery, to superb food and drink, and a fascinating heritage and culture - I really am passionate about all things Scottish! I think we truly do have the best small country in the world and I would love to share it with you as your guide.
