I was born in Edinburgh and have lived most of my life in Scotland. My passion for hill-walking led me to train as a mountain leader, taking foreign visitors into the Scottish Highlands and Islands. This was a "side-line" to my career as an in-house lawyer in industry from which I retired a few years ago. Since then, I have trained and worked as a Blue Badge Tour Guide. For me, it is a delight and privilege getting to know visitors from around the world and to share with them Scotland's natural and built environment, its history and its culture.
