About Me

I am a qualified Scottish Blue Badge Guide with over 32 years experience and have a great love for my native country. My guiding career included the prestigious Royal Scotsman train where I worked as tour director for ten years meeting many visitors for UK and overseas, many of whom have returned for personalised tours with me.

I also had the opportunity and privilege of working with Abercrombie and Kent during this period. This included work as one of three tour leaders chosen from the entire world in the first Abercrombie and Kent’s - Royal Air Tour- around the world in a private jet, and an experience I will never forget.

Beside my other tour work for cruise ships excursions and other coach tours, I have worked as a freelance guide, taking small groups, from one to six people, around Scotland by car. I offer you my services in designing the tour of your choice with the chance to visit Scotland and see the many hidden spots that after a lifetime of guiding I have at my disposal to share with you.

I have many stories to tell and if you so chose, maybe a wee Scottish Song or two.

My other passion is gardens and gardening. It is always my pleasure to show you Scotland’s Great and Small Gardens, in all weathers and here we can enjoy nature’s beauty and appreciate the Gardeners hard work.
