Welcome to my profile!

My name is John MacEachen and I have been guiding clients in Scotland since 2016. Born in Glasgow, I now live in Perthshire in the centre of Scotland, around one hours drive north of Edinburgh, making me perfectly positioned to guide the whole of Scotland.

Thanks to family connections in the Highlands, I have travelled extensively in Scotland from a young age. I have always been fascinated by Scotland’s culture, spectacular scenery and rich history; particularly the Jacobites and the phenomenal Castles. A career in the Scottish tourist industry as a private guide, meeting people from all over the world and showing guests the very best Scotland has to offer, is a dream job!

In 2020 after two years of intensive study and training I was awarded the coveted ‘Blue Badge’ for guiding, the highest guiding qualification in Scotland.

Through my company www.VisitScotlandTours.co.uk I can offer a variety of tours all over Scotland from half-day to full day or extended tours which are tailored to meet the needs and interests of the client.

Take the stress out your visit and make the most of your precious time and allow me to show you the very best Scotland has to offer. From Whisky distilleries to spectacular scenery, world famous food and drink, history and castles galore!

Scotland has something for everyone so make the most of your visit and leave with memories that will last you a lifetime!
