About Me

Welcome to my STGA page. I can make your trip to Scotland memorable and special and invite you to contact me to discuss your visit and how I might help. First, you may wish to know a bit more about me:

I was born and brought up in Glasgow and still live in Scotland’s “central belt”. Our family holidays were always spent in Scotland and from an early age, I grew to love this wonderful country. Following a successful career in education, I now have the opportunity, through tourist guiding, to share my passion for Scotland with visitors.

Scotland has so much to offer, and there is something for everyone:
  * In the cities - architectural delights, cultural activities, sports and leisure facilities, shopping opportunities, night life
  * Out of town - lochs and mountains, unspoiled beaches, boat trips, championship golf courses, medieval castles, outdoor activities, and truly wonderful scenery
  * Food and drink – traditional and modern dishes (made with fresh local ingredients), craft beers, and an enormous range of whiskies.

I am particularly interested in Scottish history, food and drink, and golf, and have shown a range of other areas that reflect the themes and interests of my tours to date.

When planning driver-guided or walking tours for individuals or small groups, I enjoy working closely with clients to design tailor-made itineraries that meet individual needs and interests.
