About Me

Ceud Mìle Fàilte

I am a native Glaswegian, having lived and worked in the Western Isles, the Borders and Aberdeen before settling back in my home city. As a child I spent lots of time in the East Neuk of Fife and the East of Scotland, never far away from an excellent golf course.

Scotland is a country of outstanding natural beauty, blessed with an exceptional natural larder, not to mention its friendly, wonderful people. There is much to see and do; to explore and visit; to learn and experience – whether it’s a city walking tour; exploring the sights, sounds and history of the countryside or an extended journey to our stunning islands - and of course, there’s plenty hidden away for you to discover. There’s more to Scotland than you think.

I’ve always been interested in Scottish history and have become quite hooked on our heritage and industrial history. I also have a passion for Scottish art, for our music and architecture and love visiting Scotland’s stunning public gardens.

I would be delighted to show you around – to develop your passion for what I consider to be a “braw wee country” and to introduce you to some myths, legends and tales of ordinary and not-so-ordinary folks along the way. I am able to tailor a visit to your interests and at your pace, ensuring a fun and memorable trip; and if you are unable to travel just now, why not contact me to discuss a virtual tour
