Following earlier careers in Town Planning and Teaching Geography and Special Needs, I made the decision to train as as Scottish Guide. I have never looked back.
It really is a privilege to show off our beautiful country, to share knowledge and to entertain visitors, in short give them the best possible experience of modern day Scotland.
My working life has been primarily based in West Central Scotland, however, during this time I also spent over 8 years in the USA: Chicago and Washington DC.
I have a particular interest in the Landscape and Gardens of Scotland as well as my home town, the City of Glasgow.
Other personal interests include the Arts in Scotland: Music, Art, Theatre and Cinema as well as the Outdoors, especially Hillwalking, Gardening and Golf.
I am based on the West Coast, in Ayrshire, close to Glasgow and ideally placed for all West Coast originating tours
