About Me

Having qualified as a Green Badge Guide for the North Highlands in May 2018, I am brimming full of enthusiasm for showing visitors the delights of this area, where I have lived and travelled extensively since 1997. My previous role as a charity event fundraising manager introduced me to the iconic scenery of the Highlands and developed my people and communication skills.

Whether you have interests in Scottish culture, history, wildlife, geology, stunning lochs and mountains or just want to chill in one of the most unique areas in the world, I would be delighted to guide you, and help create what I hope will be one of your most enjoyable and entertaining holidays. I love showing visitors the “off the beaten track roads” and quieter café stops!

I’m happy to guide on coaches, driver guide in my roomy air-conditioned Ford Mondeo for up to 4 people or hire a modern, well equipped people carrier for up to 8 people. I can provide walking tours in the beautiful city of Inverness, where I am fortunate to live or in Ullapool. I can meet visitors anywhere in the Highlands, whether it’s Speyside or a cruise ship port like Invergordon, Ullapool, Fort William or Portree. Several of my tours are suitable or can be adapted for wheelchair users and I am happy to design bespoke tours to help visitors with other disabilities make the most of the Highlands.

I am very flexible as my clients testify, “Peter was a fantastic guide for our trip. We were searching for someone who would take us to places that were relevant to our family heritage in the Inverness area. He was enthusiastic about what we were trying to achieve and did a brilliant job of putting everything together. He's also a lot of fun! We highly recommend him!” (Mary Beth Kelly Aug 26th 2019). “Great. Just wonderful. Peter was an outstanding guide, very informative and incredibly friendly. We loved the drive through the Scottish Highlands, the scenery was breath-taking. We were lucky with the weather also, very clear and sunny day. Thank you Peter, for the beautiful day.” (Marwan Haddad Aug 2nd 2019)

The Highlands have been home to some amazing people and I want to share their stories with you....
