I do this job because I enjoy showing Scotland to visitors. I am passionate about Scotland and proud of it. I have lived in Scotland for nearly thirty years and although only one quarter Scottish am proud of my Scottish roots.I always remember that the people I guide are usually on their holidays or at least enjoying time off (if on an incentive or corporate visit) and I try to make their visits enjoyable, comfortable and above all relaxing. I am also aware of the guide's role to entertain and good humour is an integral part of my tours. I love to meet people and especially the nationalities who speak the languages I offer..French and German.
I generally get very good feedback on my tours and I work hard to produce a positive reaction and satisfied guests. My background was in marketing and that is very helpful in appreciating the demands for good customer service and managing expectations.
