I qualified as a Scottish tourist Guide in 1988.
I live in Edinburgh and this has been home to me since childhood.
I have been involved in many different spheres of Scottish guiding from city tours of Edinburgh,to extended tours around Scotland varying from three to ten days.
I have many tours of the country with mainly North American clients.
I am a very avid and keen golfer and i have been involved in organising golfing groups throughout the years.I have worked with clients at many golfing majors in Scotland and, indeed,I worked with clients at the Ryder Cup in Scotland in 2014.
I used to play rugby as an amateur and my love of the sport has remained and ,like, golf,I work with rugby groups, when asked to.
I have a great interest in modern art and also in Scottish literature and with the many tours of Scotland that I have taken, all the interests that I have from the countryside to the arts to sport to history have all been incorporated in my touring work.
I take many historical tours of Edinburgh and also Glasgow every year and I am heavily involved in walking tours of Edinburgh.I have, with my colleague Jenny Mann,a walking tour company "The Edinburgh Walking Tour Company".We take walking tours which are historical and also based on the "Jekyll and Hyde" novel of Robert Louis Stevenson.
I work all year round as a Scottish Tour Guide and as a walking tour guide in Edinburgh.
